about to replace wheel bearings on td5 90 manual says to torque up the hub nuts what hub spanner is best to use with toque wrench, ones i have looked for all use a bar.

if your stuck just use 3ft bar on what youve got and pulltight, brgs adjustment is set with solid spacer between them, its just to hold shaft tight,

I thought about doing that, but as i have not done bearings before i was going to do what the manual says. I have a torque wrench but can't seem to find a suitable hub spanner.

there no reason other than been tight does it need to be torqued, brgs have already been set with spacer if you can crush brgs or spacer by over tightening then they wont last long ,the spacers there so idiots can tighten nut without altering or having to set brgs

so if i tighten as hard as i can with 2 foot bar that should be ok?

helping dad with his discovery 2 td5 rear hub nut, treid the impact driver, scaffold pole, snap a t bar, bent another t bar, smashed my knuckles. heated it up the nut and alsorts of other tricks and i still cant get the nut to shift!!! might send the mrs to have ago at it and maybe it will fall off and go and find a place to hide lol

what did you heat it up with ?get a decent sharp cold chisel and try and split each flat ,it will stretch it
