Wheel bearing problem

I seem to be having a problem with the front nearside bearing on my 200tdi disco.
I adjust it up taking any sign of any play away then once it is back on the floor the play is back and causing shaking when driving.
What would cause the bearing to do this???

maybe its not the bearing - swivel maybe?

Agreed.... are you sure its the wheel bearing and not the swivel, either way i think a bearing is gone.

Almost sure its the bearing, when tightened the play does go for short time only to return a short while afterwards. More than happy getting my hands dirty just want to be sure I changing the right part.

Think I'd whip the hub off to check the bearing races and how they're seated and whether all parts of the bearing are all there!

That is kind of what I thought but I do like to know I can repair the at the same time, will have to see if i can get myself a bearing kit.
