went over our woods to do some work, and as we have received notification that the private road needs work doing to it, which we are liable to pay costs, and the fact that they are saying it all needs scalpings laying on it, whilst we are saying, bollocks only little segments need work, I took a small video with the go pro attached to bull bars

at around 1.04 to 1.09 (minutes and seconds) you'll hear a noise, I'm wondering if it was the VCU kicking in ? working ok or not?
have not heard it before and went on a few muddy fields last night lamping with no probs

I got up to 3.15 the Current Mrs Bushwwacker asked if I was listening to a tratter

The only time I can knowingly ger my VCU to lock is if I try to dog it away from a junction or try to spin it in a gravel car park  and then I only get a momentary 'scrat' then it bites....

Agree with Hippo,Power steering.
My old Transporter has been making that noise and a lot worse since we went through 2 foot of floodwater in 2008.

It happens a bit after 1:10 and later as you stop then pull away from the gate. Is it happening when your on the clutch? Also at several other points like 3:20. Also happens every time you go through water on the rhs. Nice oft road track that.

How wet was the grass you drove into, the tensioner for the aircon on ours made a row like that when it got wet, and shutup after a few seconds.

I've only heard it the once at start of that clip, did the same route last weekend and didn't hear it, plus as I said 3 hours lamping on soggy wet grass, not a murmur

I must be going deaf I heard a very slight noise which did sound a bit like the belt on the power steering as you were turning the wheel could be a bit of wet on it. what car is it

SOOOOOOOOO SORRRRY I am not only going Deaf I am going Blind as well but there are some on here who have pictures of other Landies and have something else and Land rover forum well you can have any land rover , but serious it does sound, now I have turned my speakers up, like the power steering I used to get that noise on my old one when turning sometimes

Try a process of elimination by securing your recorder to the abs pump (tie wraps but be careful of heat) and driving it to see if the noise is louder. Then put the camera somewhere else and try again.
