Freelander 1 What's this bolted to the IRD?

Oh well, I caved! Gave them their $700 + $280 buyers fees, so $980 (£400). I figured I wasn't going to get an IRD much cheaper than that - so fingers crossed the gears in it are OK even if I have to replace the pinion bearings.

Fun and games getting it on the transporter - realised I'd hired one without a winch! In the end the yard's forklift picked it up from the side and lowered it with its front wheels on the back of the trailer, then he went round the back and lifted the rear and slid it forward!

I'll reply to you PM in the morning #HTR :)
