LOL,
Just FYI, I went out into the countryside to upset the sheep and played with my horns.....
.Set it to "alarm" only sounder and no noise was forthcoming when unplugged as opposed to when it was plugged in and it made a noise, surprise , surprise from that horn you originally asked about.
Other are the Car horns behind the grille and the BBS, which is inside the back of the vehicle near the OS wheel arch area. Strangely my BBS has stopped working, so something else to go work on.

The BBUS has a self contained NiCd rechargeable battery which after so much years might be gone

Actually it's BBUS = battery backed-up sounder, more about it in RAVE

Hope you are happy that you have another EKA convert neilly..... at least when the alarm/immobiliser/locking starts to go wrong I can ask a q here and boldly answer yes to the inevitable "have you got your EKA code"LOL,

So.... plugged it in...... interestingly when I locked after shutting the bonnet, I heard a familiar sound (dual tones as my previous 02 plate D2). Doors lock and alarm sets as before.. so sitting here slightly on edge with keys to hand in the event the alarm goes off........

Stuff an old T-shirt in the sounder front and one tucked around back half ... if it does go off it will take the edge off the volume ... a bit ...

May need more than one t shirt if it is set to use the horns , alarm sounder and the internal sounder as well.
