What's the widest tyre I can put on a Wolf wheel?

Sorry to drag this up again. It was the only topic that came up in my search. I've now found that a 265 BFG M/T can be fitted to the 6.5" rim, but not the A/T version? Does anyone know if I can safely fit a 265/70-16 Kumho KL71 M/T on them? I drive on a lot of lawns at work and the extra width will give me a lighter ground pressure so I don't rut them up so much.

One thing that was brought up in a Google search was insurance issues. People abroad are getting by fine with them but in the UK if we use a tyre that is of the wrong spec and crash we're in it deep. That counts even if the tyre isn't the cause of the accident too I think. Our insurers will use any clause to get out of paying!

I didn't have a problem with tyres when it came to my insurance claim. Are you sure that you're not confusing wheels with tyres?

I have mach 5's fitted to mine. They look like alloys but they're steel. Because of this they have never effected my insurance with ANY company as the insurance companies computer only gives the choice of steels, genuine alloys and after market alloys.;)
