Whats the problem

Disco 1 has been sluggish for a while. Accelerating now above 65 on the motorway the car is pulsing forwards and back struggling at the speed.

Coming to a junction fast and slowing down its cutting out. If I rev the engine hard on the spot it cuts out.

What could this be? Fuel filter was changed about 4 months ago full service about 3 months ago.

sedimenter blocked or air leak somewhere . also lift pipe on fuel gauge in tank sometimes rots.

Sedimenter has been removed with a straight through pipe. I will check under the cover plate. Could it be lift pump on way out?
