What's the coolest/rarest thing you've seen on a RR Classic?

Was just reading an article in LRM about LandyPoint GmbH (Landypoint Sigmaringen) and it said something about "all sorts of modifications and additions that are alien to British eyes."

Which got me thinking, what's the coolest/rarest/most interesting feature or item you have seen on a Range Rover of any era (although my interest would mainly be in the Classics and P38's)?

This could be anything from something specific to hot or cold climates, to Police or SAS-spec models, to gun racks for hunting in Africa or something weird a Sheikh in the Middle East requested! Not necessarily specials like the Monteverdi, but something like the early sat nav's fitted to Overfinch Classics or the internal coll cages and bonnet trays on the SAS Classics.

It could also be a factory fit/Special Vehicles option, or aftermarket, and pictures would be a massive bonus too :)

I saw a classic brooklands on eBay once, that had a saddle rack built in,
Said from factory but not sure,

That's what I'm talking about! The saddle rack was indeed an LR option, I'll let you know the code when I get home this evening if you're interested...!

Not really lol, I don't have horses, I saw it while looking for a classic, one of the new magazines has an original classic with only 500 miles on it , not read the article tho

I once ate a horse.... not a whole one of course, but the French do have a habit of eating there pets

And they tend to put everything in there mouths, including vaginal parts and sucking on them :hysterically_laughi

Yeah I read about that too, crazy - some optician in scandinavia had it, bought it, prepared it for an expedition and seemingly never went and just left it in his garage - odd!

The one 'factory' option I would really love is the LR winch + winch bumper - I love the "stock" lock and it's a well designed accessory.

A rustless chassis.

Always the joker! I can honestly say the chassis on mine is completely rust free - even the MOT inspector was surprised!

The Range Rover from Octopussy :)

In my youth there used to be an amazing show room in Park Lane (now Mcclaren I think - or was) They made Range rover specials including 6 wheelers and some that had hydraulically raising seats so that they could be used for falconry. I am guessing for the Arab market.

Haha, was looking through my RR file for something else and found the official accessories brochure, here's the saddle rack you mentioned - and a rather tasty gun cabinet!

Speaking of gun cabinets, whilst not original these look rather nice in the back of an LSE currently for sale on Pistonheads:
