What's that noise!

No sound file attachment I'm afraid but the best way I can describe it is the same noise as the electronic blood pressure monitors. It seems to come from behind/in the dash at the drivers' side. It's there when I first start the car and periodically during town driving.

Any idea what that is? Is this the ABS pump?

Sounds like ABS pump is a possibility. Should come on every 4-5 presses of the brake pedal. More often than this & accumulator needs changing.

I reckon mine's more like every 3 pumps of the pedal, depending how hard I hit it.
