whats it worth

I have a series three 1976 which I rebuilt in 2010
Galvanized chassis
Re spray
Completely new brakes
Lots of engine parts replaced on original 2.25 petrol engine
Station wagon and truck cab parts
New doors on front
Its so hard to value these things as they vary so much on evil eBay so thought I would ask you lot,will get some pics up tomorrow if I get time.
I ask because I am thinking of going for a defender but the insurance on the series is so cheap
By the way cost of rebuild was about 3 k total

It is tricky like you say, many people who do top rebuilds won't list them as auctions on ebay, they just ask 6/8 grand as that's what it owes them. I'm not sure if they really make that though.

If it looks really good and not a hammerite wonder, I'd guess at 2 to 3 thousand in ebay auction.

ive seen one go for 4k on forcourt down shaftesbury way should get 2 easy
