What's it worth

No idea about newer defenders, this is on behalf of a mate but he is asking what a 2002 Defender 90 is worth roughly with about 50,000 miles on the clock.

I'm gonna assume a bit more than 50 quid

A good peruse of pistonheads and autotrader looking for similar models/age is as good a steer as any I'd have thought.

If you want a range to work from - best guess is £5,500 - £7,000

For £7k it would need to be in great condition!

Indeed I told him to pay more attention to it's condition, but I am completely unfamiliar with the TD5 motor as well.

9 years is enough time for the tinworm to start setting in I'm thinking.

look at engine for head replacement.it may be a different shade of metal.thats the best tell.

are they prone to head failure?
