What's is it called......?

Hi all
Me being a tad stupid I can't do a search when I don't know what the part is called lol....

I have a Defender 90 TD5 (1999) and I have just fitted a brand new 2007 rear door but the only issue I have is the door card does not reach the push in thingy that shorts out the internal roof lights when the door is shut as its not long enough. I would like to know what the push in thing is called and can you get longer ones to replace?

I could make a bracket up, but as I have spent shed loads of money on the new door I would like to make it a full and proper job.

Any help most welcome, sorry for being a dumb ass lol...

Takes a wild guess that it is called a SWITCH!

Curtesy light switch, and yes you can get universal long ones from any auto parts store.

Hi all,
thanks for your replies but I still canit find a courtesy light switch plunger other than that of the standard length. I need one roughtly twice as long so it will operate the lights....such a small issue but a pain in the backside lol..

You could use a limit switch if all else fails. Google it.
