What would you Do !!!

Well my timing as gone ..

I need to make a choice on what to do ...

I have it booked in on monday to do the timing belt and see if it starts without taking the head off, As he thinks it could be ok and should be able to sort it ...

Someone else have said they would not waste time on it and get a another engine as they said they would fit it for £150

Now with another engine i could have the same problem in 3-4 months

or i could spend £220 and take a chance i could lose £220 or what i paid on an engine ...What would you do

I'd do it myself, save getting shafted by a garage

I'd fix it meself fer less than 50 quid for a cam belt kit and 8 new pushrods - most likely all it needs.

fix it yerself.

get a haynes book of lies...will be cheaper!

Get Ratty to do it

maybe pop off the rocker cover & check rockers + pushrods, then get belt done.

Oh well i think maybe take a chance and see if it can be fixed as another engine could cost more in the long run as the head or timing belt could go on an engine that i would buy if i had recon money i would do that ....

if its a diesel you dont even av to take the head off , when my belt snapped i had it all done the same day, just 8 push rods bent
