I don't suppose the original OEM bumper was galvanised was it?
Mine looks like a galvanised one that has been painted with some nasty hammerite 'hammered silver' finish. Mioght be the original one, don't know.
I will probably rub it back and repaint it a better kind of silver at some point.
I suppose new galvanised ones are expensive?

As far as I know, and could wrong, they were always galvanised, a lot of them go manky looking and so peeps paint 'em, mine is black...:D

Thanks chaps, well if I can get a new galvanised one for £40 I might just go for that. I assume the newer ones are to the same design and bracket fitment (two bolts on front of each chassis rail I recall).
Where's the best place to buy?

Buying locally and collecting might be the best option, saves postage and you can see what you're buying. Assuming you have a local supplier.....

I've got one from a 2007 110 on mine... in comparison to the Series one I had on it (but bent badly) the defender one is very weak and i've bent it where my towing eyes are so it needs some major re-enforcement...

So, just check the quality if buying a new one.
