Its fubar...replaced the pipe and same with engine on or off...pedal hard, but with engine running there's suction when I pull the pipe off the Servo on my thumb...

Not sure wether to try repair kit or replace....as big differance in price and if anyone knows me on here...they know I just spent small....no large fortune respraying and loads a goodies....so pennies tight now...may need a PS pump too.....

Did you lose the vacuum in the system before trying it as well?

Sorry not sure what you mean...With engine off I pumped the pedal...it was very hard but did not get harder...then started the engine with foot on brake...nothing...pumped again and there was no differnace it felt EXACTLY as it did with the engine off.
With thumb over the pipe that connects to Servo I could feel "pulsing" suction on my thumb....had to pull my thumb off the pipe.....hope that makes sence...

What I meant was that you have to destroy the vacuum in the servo and pipe, by pumping the pedal five or six times. Same difference if it has been standing overnight.
Then restart, and pedal will fall if servo comes on.

Right with you...think its knackered then,....it had been steed for weeks while I've been painting it etc...
I've only actualy driven it from the guy I got it off, to home....less than 3 miles I'd say before parking up and starting the bodywork....it drove well....but the brakes were very hard but worked....I thought at time like none servo assisted, so was shocked when I saw the servo...
Unless there is out else I can check?

No, sounds like you got it covered. New will work and aint a bad job to fit.

Give it a bit of time, someone who has fitted the kits may pop up and say what they think.

Where the vac pipe joins the servo the plastic coupling contains a one way valve (like this but there are different versions) so the air can be sucked out but is not allowed back in to the servo. If this valve is stuck shut then you won't get any servo assistance, not sure what affect you get if it is stuck open (possibly some slight braking assistance). Worth popping it off, should just pull out of the master with a bit of jiggling and see if you can blow/suck through it.
