good day all,
i have recntly fitted a massie winch bullbar and warn winch to my 110 200tdi
but freakin hell , the extra weight on the front makes the steering suck(feels like understearing) and the nose dives.
what shoul i do to rectify this?
i cannot imagine driving long istances like this...
i have new monroe gas shocks fitted.. and std springs.

shoul i try fiting def 110 TD5 coils on the front? i have a new set at home..
or defender 130 coils?

the aftermarket springs are very exp...

what would yu reccomend?

How old are the springs that you have fitted now? maybe they are weak and sagging. Or you need to uprate the springs. Should be able to find OME HD springs for a reasonable price. Is it a full set of 130 springs you have? if they will fit, it may be worth trying those, although i am not too sure about this!

hi my current setup is very old ;-)
and 200 000km's done.

shocks are new though.

ok this is what i got from a SA forum over here:
the guy states thet the rear coils from a model 90 will lift the front and be more rigit.

This is the specification of what is supposed to be on a Defender :

Model, Location, Part Number, Colour Code, Free Length
110, Driver’s Front, NRC 8044, Double White Stripes, 384.3mm
110, Passenger Front, NRC 8045, Double Yellow Stripes, 368.1mm
110, Driver’s Rear, NRC 6389, Red Stripe, 407.0mm
110, Passenger Rear, NRC 6904, Red & Green Stripes, 395.0mm
90, Driver’s Front, NRC 9446, Blue & Green Stripes, 385.7mm
90, Passenger Front, NRC 9447, Blue & Yellow Stripes, 373.02mm
90, Driver’s Rear, NRC 9448, Blue & Red Stripes, 388.62mm
90, Passenger Rear, NRC 9449, Yellow & White Stripes, 376.0mm

The rear coils of the '90 fit into the front of the 110, and will raise the height of the vehicle's nose by about 50mm. I fitted coils of equal length on both sides and used the longer ones. i.e I fitted NRC 9448’s in the front and NRC 6389’s in the rear. Our vehicle now stands level when unladen. However, the rear of the vehicle will be lower than the front when loaded, and to overcome this I installed airbags inside the rear coils.

so after doing this, my bullbar+winch will be supported, and loading the rear of the truck wont effect the truck.
so no air helpers needed.
