filler and drain plugs are both destroyed and look to be rust welded to go with it

If you had to get in there, You could try welding a nut /bolt onto the plug , spray and then give it a good wrenching.

They are a tapper thread ! so they shunt take much gettin out !

any more damaged and i'll be able to put a round bar in it with a snug fit the filler or the drain, thought bout welding a small bar of sorts to it and hitting it but figured no point the entire thing looks like its on its last legs just let it die and get myself a good excuse to tell the mrs why i need a new back end haha

im easing it in slowly lol let her know the parts needed to drain and fill it wont come out they are broken. and told her it "could" brake more internals if i cant get them out. next stage is to let her know i've tried it and cant get them to move. then final stage is "babe it died back of the cars not working im gonna have to try get a new one. i'll see if i can find a 2nd hand one be cheaper than main dealer new" then i go find me a 200tdi rear end and prop lol

If I was you, I would try welding the plugs to see if I can get them out, if they do release then find a second hand Diff with a 4 bolt flange. If not, then you can try and find an axle , but a disco one will not have the 4 bolt flange.

you should never rush a good thing

Wot u trying to get the bungs out with ??

im not i tried a breaker bar but it just kept slipping as the bungs are too messed up. in the next few weeks i will be "trying" to weld something to them and then remove them but i can be almost 100% sure this isnt going to work. (stage 2 of the plan in action lol)

Piece Of 1/2" BAR welded in & then use ratchet ! If you can get it as hot as you can then thro COLD water on it ! should shrink it a bit then they should come out !

You NEED A PUSH THRU Ratchet tho !
