Mine is an ES but only has 5 seats as I requested that because I needed the boot room for the two dogs.

Exactly. I only know mine is an XS because of the part leather logo'd seats but a quick look on that site confirmed it. In what way did having 7 seats affect your insurance? Good or bad?

I didn't make my point very well did I? If he has an E S or whatever it is, the number of seats makes a difference to the price of insurance so he needs to be sure they get it all written up properly. As I said they were trying to tell me that mine is a manual g/ box etc.you can't trust those idiots to get it right

Slightly bad,about £ 22 more because of being able to carry more passengers therefore more potential claims for injury etc,the fact they've never been used doesn't wash with em!
