Hello- Ive owned out freelander TD4 S 2001 for about 5 weeks ( 2 weeks of that its been back in the garage )

we got a 3month warranty on the car, which has been worth it !

we've had various problems :-

Non starting - Cam shaft sensor
Knocking noise @ front - Loose steering rack
Whining Noise at back - Rear Diff
plus little other things like clock display , cd player, air con

Everytime its gone wrong the garage has been quite good and got everything done for us pretty quick ..but im now unsure of the car ?? im just waiting for the next thing to go wrong ?? we live in Norfolk and planning on going to Devon in June ...fingers crossed it goes ok !

i dont know if i should ring the previous owners to see if they had probs, ring land rover where previous owners had work done on the FL or just sell it, ...... im in 2minds on what to do???

Check the views on here and you will soon know, not one single good word chappie, they are ****e, wiff a capital S.
 
most forums normally tell bad stories and all the things that have gone wrong etc..

there must be lots of other freelander owners that are pleased with their car ??? is there ??

you see alot of them out and about on the road so cant be that bad can they ? !!
 
My wife has had her TD4 for 5 years now and during that time I must say it has served us well. Only fault recorded during 3 year warranty period was one of the rear electric windows wouldn't work.
Since being out of warranty
Car died on us on the motorway - 2 new injectors and £750 later everything fine until last week the clutch pedal sometimes stays down and from reading threads here seems like the clutch master cylinder but again it will be fixed soon.
I drive a Discovery and on my 3rd one - I like the model but all in all would I buy a Freelander yes I would I like the car so perhaps when I'm older and find the Disco too big then you never know.
Don't listen to all the macho men on this forum going on about it being a women's motor coz I've since found out they are all gay anyway.

Nope not all bad stories about the other models, just the truth.

There would be less of them on the road if it wern't for the film wif them in it, and a lot more of them on the road if most of them wern't in garages, broke.

More looking after than the crown jewels, un best in it's class, lada, moscavitch, un that one made of carboard, oh un a fookin zeplin.

I've just posted a couple of pit bulls to yer house wif pink collers, trained ter eat yer gonads, thel be plenty of hydrogen in yer house when they rip the arse out yer troosers, and the only zeplin there will have a big crack in it.
