After finally getting there on sorting the disco for mot, I have just found this leak. Please don't say this is serious of expensive!

i had a similar leak, my turbo was fecked and filled the exhaust with oil..but it was smokey as feck for a few days before i coped on. proably not what you wanted to hear.

That's what I thought it was going to be, I just didn't want to believe my self. What was wrong with your turbo?

I think its your turbo you can clearly see it comming out of the gasket not dripping on the manifold the turbine inside that spins should have no play there is a big o ring type seal in there if that leaks oil goes into the system .
 
my turbo was done, the seals and bearings were all fecked. i was trying to ingore it but the smoke behind me was too much in the end, i bought a replacement core of ebay (latvia) and rebuilt it.

I been looking at those good then??

Did you remember to get the clip it doesn't come with the turbine does it ??

Just took the exhaust manifold off and found a lot of oil in it. Just ran it up with it off and there was oil pouring out of the exhaust ports

Am I right that its the piston rings?
