Series 2 What price

Hello chaps
I have been offered a LHD 69 2a diesel fully restored with galvanised chassis and salisbury rear end (is this original) genuine 84327 Klm
Its immaculate and has been professionaly stored for the last 4 years
So whats it worth is 4000 euro a fair price

If its as good as it looks in that picture I'd say that's cheap for UK prices but you dont say where in Europe you are.

I would say €4000 is a bargain especially if you are going to use it abroad where LHD is necessary. If that is it in the pic, I reckon it's worth double that. Snap it up.

Be a bit careful - have you actually seen it - because it's also advertised here for a much more sensible £14,000. Smells a bit to me. Had someone trying to sell me a cheap Alfa last week in much the same way.

Hmmmm, fishy.

Its in Spain near Javea seems it has three bids on it at the moment and its up to 7200 euro

Thats changed its now the other side of Madrid

I've looked a little harder, and those links all lead back to the same auction - Catawiki. I've not heard of them, their claims are that they're big and growing fast in Europe.

Facts wise, all I've come up with is that it's listed for sale in an auction (which Fredi didn't say and may not have known) with a realistic estimate and a vaguely credible pattern of published bids.

Which may actually mean that it's OK - other than Fredi's point about the location of the car.

The Alfa thing that I mentioned was a car advertised at about 70% of its real value on Gumtree. Advertiser said that it was in N of Scotland and that I could secure with a deposit. I said I'd fly up that day and he went quiet.

Possibly a CKD kit assembled in Spain by Sanatana - and so could well have lagged behind UK production. Expert needed!

Seems to be some sort of scam the car was offered on a number of spanish sites ,mil anuncios.autoscout and a couple of others with a price. All those listings have now been deleted and only the auction site CATAWIKI remains , Phoned them today ( very difficult) very evasive saying the owner is undecided on letting the auction go forward.
So I have lost interest.
But thanks for all the input.
