what oil

ok hi all what engine oil do you use on a oil and filter change and how much do you put back in 6lires 0r 6.8litres come on which oil do you use in your freelander

Hi,

Not sure but I think that 6 litres is a little too much, let alone 6.8 litres. Best is to throw 5 liters in it, start your engine (to have the filter filled), wait a while and check on the dipstick to fill to the maximum mark.
As for the oil I put in, well, mine, which I bought with my hardworking earned money.... :rofl:

According to the book it says:

10W/40 ACEA A3 or 15W/40 ACEA B3

API CF-4/SG

CC MC PD2-D4-G4

yes both the handbook and haynes says 15-40or 10w-40 which is wrong should be 5w-40
