I have got rid of the side airbag one side, keep meaning to do the other one.
I fit a resistor in the place of the side airbags.

Can the airbag units be checked with a dvm when unpowered and let discharge?
I have left to last minute quite frequently, over the years. Even done it the night before, on some occasions. Then again former profession was looked upon as , thrill seekers and liking adrenaline rush, so get hammered with price anyway. Go near them with a DVM and you risk setting them off.

I have not looked, but I don't think there should be continuity unless they have been triggered.
