It's connector C-100 for seat belt buckle switch... that warning is most probably disabled and according to the diagrams that switch is not fitted, i'll check mine tomorrow out of curiosity

It's exactly what i said, for buckle switch it could not be anything else believe me... check RAVE - Electrical library - connector views - C0100 and you'll see.

Well that's weird as I have one too and my dash shows a red seat belt light which eventually goes out.
OR, am I being thick and the red light is a self test light for the seat-belt-tightening-in-an-accident thing and nothing to do with what you are talking about? Like a warning that you haven't put your seat belt on? This is a definite possibility, as if I drive off with no seat belt on, which I nearly never do, I don't think a warning sounds, unlike wifey's little French car.
Caught me out yet again @sierrafery !!!!!!!!:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Depends on the BCU setting for the seatbelt warning... but as the factory setting is "timed" not "buckle" i presume they wanted to fit that switch but changed theyr minds

So really nothing to worry about then , that's cool with me , just wanna make sure it's not my airbag unplugged...
Thanks for the info

OK, i dont like to let things unsolved so i made some research and the secret has been revealed:cool:: it depends on the spec of the vehicle(dont ask me about that cos mine is ES and didnt have "audible" so i dont know which specs must have it or not),

there are two types of buckles based on warning options, those so called "non audible" which dont have a switch fitted in them hence no loom to connect to that plug like this https://www.brit-car.co.uk/product....sion___black___right_hand_front___discovery_2 and those named ''audible'' which have the loom like this https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-EVB104980

the versions are visible here http://new.lrcat.com/#!/1232/39271/39272/3020/39275 ...so as long as there were non-audible versions fitted from factory that plug can be neglected IMO.... maybe on those which were factory fitted with audible version the setting in he BCU is "Buckle" too and then if it's unplugged the audible warning will sound continuosly that's all

In those pics can clearly be seen the bastud SRS connector which so often fu cks up, puts the light on and leads to an MOT failure if not fixed.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
As for the buckle warning, I wonder if this is not down to Construction and use regs inanother country. Fo instance back in the 70s Volvos came with audible "seat belt not on" sounds. So maybe for export to particular countries this had to be connected up to something. No idea how it works except that presumably inserting the insert with the belt into the buckle must either flick a switch or make a circuit, (or break a circuit) which tells an ecu somewhere that the seatbelt is "on" .

Anyway, in the States it seems it may be legal to have to have some sort of warning and all new cars from 2019 must have one, see article, https://roadsafetygb.org.uk/news/seatbelt-reminders-on-every-new-car-seat-from-2019/
I think maybe they stuck it in the loom in case it became law and they could then sort something out. But I deffo have little red pic that shows a person in a seat with a belt on thet goes off during glow plug warm up time, but I have not been rsed to check out in the manual what it means! As with others my brown plug ain't plugged into nothin!:):):)
