What is this? Filter?

Hi,

Had a fuel leak recently , replaced corroded pipe with some hose. At the time I never thought to look or check but what is the cylinder in the photo? inline filter perhaps?

Due to working away from home I can just go out and investigate.

Hopefully someone can enlighten me cheers.

I was going to suggest a preheater as it looks as if its got a wire going to it but then I noticed its a petrol.

sorry I didn't mention its a 3.9 V8, also I cant remember if those wires are connected to it - does look like it in the pictures though!

That is your inline fuel filter.

If you want to change it THIS is the replacement part. I did mine yesterday

There are no wires connected to it

Cheers Rob, its probably never been changed so i'll be ordering up a new one.
