What is the turbo heat shield made of?

Then blow the last bits out.

Where the mounting holes are I strengthened with penny washers glassed on as that is where the problem was. Been good a few years.

That is fine if you have an airline. Usually, I didn't, as I was working outside, or in a farm shed.

I will start again, and try and keep ti simple for people who cannot be bothered to google.
The op asked specifically about the 200tdi which has a large as in massive 20 plus times the size of the 300 tdi turbo/downpipe heatshield.
The 300 has a tin heatshield, but it is tiny and nothing like the 2oo which the op asked about.

Turbo diesel set up, much the same as 200 cant find image and cant be bothered to look, item 10, note it covers the turbo and the downpipe


300tdi item 17, as you can see it covers one very small part of the manifold, pretty rare to see one still fitted as they fracture/rot and fall off.

Previous owner must have repaired mine years ago still works, though I am always a bit careful when tightening the nut up!

Plus one on your post Lynall, TD and TDI defender shield's are the same.
