It looks like you should worry about the whole car falling apart.
Hi, thanks for the replies. The prop and vcu are off for the moment and driving in 2wd. I have new ones to be fitted.
Yeah it's a rusty bugger under there but no more than I would expect for an older car. I guess if that's the fuel tank then I had better get the shield looked at?

I would get the underneath oil sprayed it will do a power of good
