Hello all.
First time posting here. Looking for some help. Dose anyone know what a Defender VIN number is worth? I have three data plates which came off of three wrecked 110 Defenders from the early 1990s. The Defenders were parted out and frames scraped, but we kept the VIN plates.

So is there a market for these VIN plates and if so, anyone know what the value would be attached to them? And who may be interested in buying them?

someone who doesn't mind breaking the law.
Im sure he means as purely decorative items and not to be attached to bits of several land rovers put together to look like one that works, and as a decorative item i would say they are worth absolutely nothing

the VIN can't be transferred so no value
if you want to break the law and rip people off, then see how far you get
Its a bit of a paradox, there's got to be landys which have had new chassis, then needed new bulkhead, years later replaced engine, new doors, at some time axles and running gear have been changed, bonnet and doors replaced, new seats and tub, wheels damaged so replaced. Gets to the point where the only bit that left the factory is one of the wheel nuts. But it's still the same land rover.

Triggers broom (or grandfather's axe if you don't like only fools) comes to mind

not really the same though, is it? many repairs over the years, vs making one car look (legally) like another, or stitching several together.. both with the intent of deception

They have no value, except to those with criminal or fraudulent intent.

The Mounties are the Federal Police in Canada, and deal with matters that cross provincial boundaries, or are considered too serious for the provincial police.

They only ride horses for ceremonial purposes now, more commonly seen in cars, or even on snowmobiles. And often heavily armed as well.
I dunno. That pretty boy Trudeau may be Greening up the the Mounties by putting them back on fossil fuel free horses.
