16 1/2 foot empty car trailer from UK to Warsaw and back again but carrying a VW Beetle full of camping gear and large box of other things in it, back of disco was full of snap on tool boxes and garden machinery

55mph for nearly 2000 miles A15 / A50 / A12 / E30
20 hours there, 20 hours back stopping only for fuel and conveniences

Only issues was 2 small straps rubbed through on front axle, windscreen washer jets froze until continental fluid was purchased and used

Been gone and returned, got a write up going on the original thread mileage, fuel used, times etc. with photo's - so it did happen ;)
 
I nearly pulled a person in a small car up a hill in the snow earlier, they were delighted to see me in my 4x4 that I pay more tax, insurance and fuel for.

And with that in mind I thought f@ck em, if they didn't want to get stuck in snow then they would have a 4x4 wouldn't they!!

The only people I will pull apart from family is those in serious danger or in my way. Other 4x4's also would get assistance if needed. Most of the year we are frowned upon even though I use my car to pull horses on a regular basis and could not do without it.

My boat up the Rest and Be Thankful once a year.
Still once a year a get to come down it as well!

Ahh one of my favourite parts of the year, I'll be doing exactly that next month after a 3 day session on loch awe. Alway renews my faith in the old td5 when we reach the viewpoint. :)
 
With a 300TDi manual Disco I towed a dirty great plant trailer with a Ford 4000 tractor (with safety cab & backhoe) on it - didn't even break into a sweat..
 
A 32 foot static caravan at a mates holiday site in Southern Ireland he was trying to do it with a freelander much burny clutchy and smelly smoke from the freelander that is
