And a look at Bath Abbey too.




The traffic was very slow on the way home so it took ages. One of the problems was a Range Rover Evoque which appeared to have broken down in the middle of the M42, leading to the closure of two lanes.

The water in the bathes looks minging, totally opposite to the young lady in the black dress, yummy.
 
Green water seems to be very fashionable these days, judging by the swimming pools at the Olympics. You can taste the bath water in a paper cup if you like. I chose not to.

The water in the baths IS minging. A friend used to work as a tour guide there and had all sorts of stories of idiot tourists jumping in, then having to go to hospital for tests. The warm mineral-rich water is a perfect breeding ground for... well... most things really!

The drinking water is safe to drink but tastes foul. Its even worse than the stuff that comes out of the taps in Bristol!
 
Just changed the oil and the filters seeing it is now just over 6000 miles since I last did it. Also got the vacuum out and hoovered up as much as I could of the dust and debris that has been accumulating inside.

Had every intention of doing this yesterday. Washed my car and my wife's car while she cleaned the dashboards of both and hoovered hers. Then the rain started so mine didn't get hoovered.

It was a running joke that my previous car resembled a mobile dustbin at times so trying to keep this one looking a little cleaner. Washed twice in 6 weeks is a minor miracle!

It's a running joke that I wash mine too much!
 
I don't think mine's a dustbin so much as a colander or maybe a doily. It's full of holes. I haven't washed it this weekend because it came on to rain heavily yesterday so it's got rid of a lot of the surface dirt.

Mine is definitely not a dustbin, but requires a good hose down, inside and out, a bit of polish and a Wellie box? The children are constantly complaining that it's not dirty enough; and I am constantly complaining that the children are not clean enough. I might put up a sign on the back door 'shoes and wellies OFF before entering' !!!
 
My experience of children is that their wellies are often full of mud and water anyway, so it's probably cleaner if you keep them on. At least your kids have the opportunity to get dirty. It's all about learning to manage risk, learning how to handle conflict, learning about how to manage the consequences of your actions. Good for them!

Thank you, yes, they love it! The dirtier the better, particularly my middle daughter, any opportunity to wade in mud!
 
changed the faulty brake switch & rear flanges then spent a few hours just checking all the bolt to make sure everything is tight
oh and put the security post in to keep the insurance people happy
