What have you done to your Landie today.

Took the snorkel and all it's plimbing and airbox off, then the fan and waterpump ...

Only to find the older waterpump is much better quality and closer tolerances than the new, so I'll use the new gasket but replace the old waterpump.

Moving the snorkel to the passenger side and making a much shorter, simpler air intake system.

... and sundry other 'little' jobs inbetween .. or whatever crops up when (yet) an(other) old bolt head or jubilee clip fails 'cos it's never been undone in 25 years!!!

started fitting the "new" suspension to the front of the disco . one side done ...

Just spent a week driving around Normandy in it camping Just about managed to fit 3 people and camping stuff in it, but might be an excuse to buy a 110 for next time
Contrary to popular belief, the 19J engine didn't once spontaneously combust and made about 26mpg over the trip. Could have done with just a bit more power going up some of the hills though.

Radiator has started to leak a bit since getting back to the UK, so thinking it's best to change it rather than chase every small crack that appears.

I am currently Landie less, so considered buying a tatty Disco to teach our son to drive in

Took delivery of centrifugal filter and sump washer - already had oil filter - so set about doing an oil change on wife's Disco2...thought it best to check that everything would loosen properly before draining...and can't get the bloody oil filter to budge! Who thought that was a good place to put it????
Also noticed a tear in the air intake pipe where the breather pipe connects...sigh...always something....

Although it looks like there isn't room, I find I can just get a large set of water pump pliers on the oil filter on my TD5 and that enables me to move it a few degrees to start it unscrewing.

Not got big enough WP-Pliers..but did come up with a cunning plan! Wrapped a double length of electric flex round the filter and a short length of dowel.. twisted the flex tight to hold the dowel hard against the filter...and then was able to get purchase on the dowel and start the filter moving. Oil and both filters now changed! Happy days...

Fitted rear light loom front to back and did a little of the interior, gearshift is in reverse so will be further forward when in neutral and easy to reach

No not yet ive stripped all the goodies from it but doing all the prep work first as I've fitted a puma bonnet to it.

admired mine whilst barrowing 5 tons of bagged sand,cement,blocks and eng bricks from the front lawn to the back of the house for the extention-im knackered

fitted, my new X brake. The hardest bit was getting the old drumb brake off then following the X ENG poor instructions.

went to leave for work and found all the air had vacated my nsf tyre overnight so pumped it up then managed to change the tube at work and it is staying up now. think the valve is separating as I can't find anything in the tyre or tube and it was hissing from the valve while it was on the truck.

Nothing atall, still.waiting on mr danothy Buckley towing it to his... And possibly a v8 also =)
