Took out the gashly installed cubby box and refitted it so that it now tilts forward for access to the panel underneath it and the diagnostic plug (at least that's what I think it is).

Finally got round to repainting rear crossmember and replacing rusty bolts. Looks much tidier. But now the tub screws look scruffy .

Fitted new wiper spindle adaptors, arms and blades, and refitted the fuel sender unit and now I don't have a fuel gauge that works!

Fitted and rewired my stereo and cb for now

got given a safari style snorkel so found that the hole saw I used for my side exit exhaust was the right size, so made a template out of a couple of sheets of newspaper and electrical tape and got it fitted just need to seal the airbox to it and then find some water to test it.
talking about testing it is there a safe way of testing it that doesn't involve a possible suicide dunking?

now I feel stupid :doh: should know that I've got a nitro rc car and that or blocking the exhaust is the only way of turning it off.

don't skimp on the tiger seal

inspected it for cracks and splits before fitting it and I've used black silicon sealant everywhere I found any signs of light from the torch I was shining inside and thought it best to redo the seam all the way round it. I have also put a bead round the rivnuts that hold it to the wing and a dolop on the holes before screwing the a pillar bracket to it so the main body of it I am confident is sealed it's just the pipe from the body to the airbox that I need to seal now. the only other point that I am confused about, due to many different opinions and my understanding of how it works, is does the rubber 'dump valve' valve need sealing or, as I understand it, does it self seal when the engine is running?
