Finally the tyres have arrived, ordered a week ago and was told I would get them Tuesday. Tuesday some tyres came but not the ones I ordered so phoned them and they said would have the correct size to me by Thursday. Thursday I phoned "sorry the courier has lost over 80 tyres we sent yesterday". Dramas. Time to go fit them!

Having recently changed the steering damper and steering drop arm I'm pleasantly surprised how the handling has improved. I can actually drive a straight line. Sorting out the back brakes has also helped with the handling. I can actually stop now. Don't know why I didn't do all this before.

found out why my drivers window packed in.

the motor was full of rusty water !!

1) why has it got a rubber pipe coming out of it ??

2) is there anything on these cars that doesn't get water infested ??

:(

Ignored the snow & set about fitting the instrument cluster (what I bought from a very nice geezer from this forum) to my 93 Disco 200tdi.

A previous owner had butchered the binnacle switches a bit, which made it more difficult like, it took way longer than expected. Happily & eventually everything worked, except for several blown bulbs. I thought that we swapped all the blown ones out but when driving hope tonight, I realised that despite the cluster now being lit up like Christmas tree I cant see the needles on the rev counter & speedo in the dark, I'm thinking I've missed a bulb somewhere.....

I'll happily buy several pints for anyone who can point out which bulbs light up said needles, especially the speedo.

I tried the search function, and google but the 1600000 results didn't really help & I'm fairly knackered.
