Decided to clean the bottle jack and the box it sits in - was a bit dusty and unloved. Sad ain't I? Whilst in there I pulled the Disco's brains out and unplugged it, only to find engine oil in the red plug. So cleaned that bugger out too. Guess I'll have to buy a new injector loom :(

my mig ran out of gas yesterday so ive had to order one which i can collect tomorrow, so today i decide to grease up the diffs.went to get the oil out of the shed to find it nearly empty then notice the front swevel balls were looking a bit weepy so cleaned them up and see how they go.checked steering ball joint some rubbers busted and others not to good,so these will need replacing and the car not even on the road yet

Found low range wasnt working! so took the top cover off, wiggled it about abit, re-fitted it all and it works mint  think the cover was on wrong

Removed my exhaust clamp that was rattling and also tightened the lower steering box bolt as it was nearly off :jaw: no wonder my steering was even floatier than normal.:crazy_driver:

Turned the fuel pump down on my defender 90 with 200tdi. Been smoking a bit under load and the guy who had it before me had turned up the pump to the max so got to the star wheel and put more tension on the spring to allow the turbo to wind up a bit more before the fuell is delivered.

Changed the fan belt which was wearing on one edge only to find the water pump needed replacing, then when putting new belt on after fitting new water pump found out the power steering pump is goosed as the shaft wandering in and out which I would imagine is the root cause of the belt wearing!!!!
