Fookin' Lord Lucas! New indicators, new sidelamps - fitted 'em, working fine until you turn on the dash panel lights! Whaaaaat?! Still, it's not as though I need to look at the speedo on these dark evenings - that's what the SatNav's for. Sigh... back to the bloody wiring loom, what joys!
MC :wtf:

it's a shame your not near chester, i being an auto spark could track the fault down for you..
just leave me to it and go have a brew with the wife

not a dead horse now then is it if fixed but a good motor so why not run it to get your money back

to be honest the pleasure has gone from owing it, i know they can be fickle, but only had the thing a month and it's just one thing after another, then another etc.....

i'll have to find a mug on ebay to buy it

no your fickle .youve got it right the rest is **** unless you didnt want one in the first place, people spend years getting there landies into what they want

Leave you to it?
Nah - too many treks to distant lands - well, Russia, not to want to get intimate with the Mad Cow.
It'll be a bad connection back of the dash - last owner must have been an 'artful bodger', esp. when it comes to wiring.

all i want is one that doesn't cost £500 a week in repairs to keep going...

well i've just read the thread on buying a crock of ****, so looks like can't get rid until i take the seller to court for the cost of the reapirs so far..

if i can get rid of this one i'll deffo buy another, but next time ask someone off here to come look with me, and i'm less likely to get a complete crock of ****...

oh and a circiut diagram helps too :D

so it isnt fixed the, what did you spend so much money on
the disco £3500
drive belt (fitted) £35
belt tentioner (fitted) £95
Exhaust maifold and studs (fitted) £250
Rear air bags +sensor+cal £200
headlamp washer pump £40
both door mirrors £ 120
waxoly £195
bits and bods ungrades etc £300
hawkeye (to find the faults) £295

ok so £500 a week in repairs is a bit ott, but seems like that..

and by the sound of it the turbo has gone.. reading the threads looking that way, but to be confirmed.

actually yesterday...
Oil & filter changed, what seemed to be a simple job, spent a few hours cleaning the bottom of the engine, clutch and others from the oozy gunk that had built up.
Hope I can find it's origin next month when I change the belts & water pump that is leaking also.

She had 4 new generals for breakfast and a sip of diesel, followed by quick bath and a rub down, and the landy she just sat on my drive and watched LOL
