Took the Beast for a 30 mile round trip to the MOT centre - only to find the bugger was off on honeymoon! Hey ho...try again next week...or so :)

Where do you get your's done?
GM Autos in Dunkeld are good, but they are closed today (Thursday 12th May right through untilk Tuesday 17th) 'coz they didn't take the bank holidays so have taken it htis week-end instead.

Done nothing to mine again today, but my packages finally arrived so tomorrow should be a different story. :):):)

Upset the wife so I can spend more time working on the Landy over the weekend instead of going out on stupid drives to her relations.
Finished refitting dash to 110 and hacking holes in it to fit Mud center console
(nice kit by the way)
Lots more work to be done over the weekend though:cool:

My sound-deadening (eDead) has arrived so I'll tackle that after I've walked the dog.

Although I'm usually comfy enough in the TD5, I've just ordered some seat risers from Mud Uk which should improve things for me (I'm 6'7" tall). Another easy job, I reckon.

Moved my towbar wiring/socket onto the rear tub after an incident with a large rock. :rolleyes: and then stripped down and put on the bikini top after all the lovely sunshine :p:D ...only for it to rain...:mad:

finished putting my air tank in back of landy,linked up to arb compressor..converted 30 bar 9 litre fire extinguisher,added gauge,works a treat..run tube to rear of landy with quick connect fitting for blowing up tyres...also added pressure relief valve(pop off valve),non ret valve,isolator valve

yes,thought ad better,,painted extinguisher black and stuck sticker on it that way someone wont try put a fire out with my air,..l.o.l

bludy air lockers got a air leak on it though.undid the breather off axle,and could feel air,at least if its pressurised its less likley to let water in ,ha ha,
 
Whipped off the two MOT failed brake pipes (master cylinder to o/s front, master cylinder to rear axle and made new ones up) and completely drained the system for fresh brake fluid. Replaced the front N/S wheel bearings and took shims out of swivel pin to take up a little free play, replaced rear O/S wheel bearings. Fitted my new brake pipes and bled the system. Found the fault in my rear fog lamp (really bad wiring and corrosion in lamp unit.)

My nephew fired up his compressor so I spend a couple of hours blasting a hell of a lot of the sand/lime whatever it is that has about 75% filled all my chassis, cross members and everything box-shaped.

Took it for a 5 mile test drive and everything feels good.

bought a ifor williams back for the 110 double cab off fleabay (finally! :doh:) bid on 3 this week and lossed um all by a pound! :mad:
just gotta get it (pickup only) from newton abbott :rolleyes:
