i drove from suffolk to south west london to pick up my boy and his mum who were stranded in teddington, and on the way home i diverted a little bit off my route to pop along violets lane :) and fun was had as we floated along in the disco, was quite deep too

After the starter solonoid failed on me when I stopped off at the garage on the way home ( just clicks ) . Got her home by bridging the terminals to start her , I thought sod changing the whole thing I'll just do the solonoid in situ .

Easy enough , changed it for one of my spares - half hour job easy . Only changed it for another naff one that I thought worked  .

Dug out another spare and tryed that = :) happy days :)

Replaced drag link end and noticed steering box drop arm loose. Tightened it up and adjusted steering box play. Wow what a difference feel safe going around corners.
Also ordered some new rear shocks and some extended brake hoses. Roll on payday so I can pay for them..

Time to bite the bullet and dip my hand in my pocket:eek::Cry:, the Rangie's booked in for a head job on Thursday. It's been loosing water and getting a bit warm for a while, now to find out where and why, cause it's not going into the oil and there's no white steam from the exhaust. The last straw was a trip to Wales last week. Ran fine for 70 miles round M25, before overheating near Slough. 230 miles, about 7 stops and 6 gallons of water later we arrived ok, then the inconsistant bitch did the return journey with just 2 stops and a few litres of water, go figure:confused:
Update! the story gets weirder. Can't find any evidence of head leak! They're wondering if the stats jammed, backing everything up and temp/pressure is forcing water out the relief valve. I'll be ****ed off if it is the stat, I've already replaced it twice in the last 18 months. We'll see what happens once they've done it:confused:
