good wash with the pressure washer top and bottom, then greased all me ujs, checked the fluids, tomorrow, getting round to do ing that pesky master clutch cylinder thats getting worse.

drove it to podimore to drop off the Warn8274 winch bumper what I sold..
then drove to WLM's to drop off a pair of disco front hubs and calipers, and left some bits for Daft..
Now in Chievely Services on the M4 showered and clean
and about to get on me way to Banbury.

Re-ferbished the drivers side door and added a load of sound insulation. & some drain holes!
Then checked the locks etc.. Ripped the bloody handle off!!

Since it was sunny i washed it!
Removed all the seats to service/repair them .
and if the sun stays out i may polish it the morrow!
Vinnie, what a fantastic colour, it looks great. And the house in the background is one of the few I haven't lived in at Catterick.

cheers bluehaze its epsom green, needs a good polish and t-cut, (i got waxoil on some parts when i did the doors in work). All the seats have been cleaned with the carpet cleaner and the morrow i,ll pull out the carpets and clean them. The house in the back ground is on Tessdale road mate. old officers quarters from the 40,s . No bad but not the best.

Finally fixed me blown front wheel bearing ..., which took out the CV joint, Stub axle and a swivel bearing!
Or maybe a lost swivel bearing roller screwed everything else up, whatever .. so why bother mentioning mundane crap? Well, when I bought the parts, ie 'full' swivel kit except ball, it said 'everything needed to overhaul swivel bearings, seals, everything included to do the job!. Similarly the CV 'repair kit' had the same blurb, as did the wheel bearing kit .. but there isn't, or wasn't 'everything'!
1st bit wasn't missing but wrong .. top swivel pin completely different, no sweat, easily changed, but held the job up. Then the half shaft spacer between shaft and CV splines was about double the length! .. again, a wait, again held the job up ..
Put it all together and had a gander at me old stub axle/cv joint that won't come apart .. and noticed (which I'd forgotten about 'cos it wasn't in the kit) the Oilite/Phosphor Bronze thrust washer/spacer. So ordered a new one, undid it all, rebuilt it when it came and all was good ... till I started to tighten the wheel bearing nuts .. I knew 'something' was wrong, but couldn't figure it for a minute. The spacer between the inner nut and outer bearing race was missing! FFS ... Again a wait for the part, again, fitted OK when it got here, but a ballache to wait for bits like this.
But, I also got me drivers door to open first pull of the handle, instead of the usually three or four vague attempts to jerk it open! While I had the door card off I also replaced the window slidey bits at the bottom and the rubber that holds the window in! I now have a door what works, and a window what works too .. even if they were both fiddle jobs that took way longer than they should
Oh, I also replaced the Anti Roll Bars so it'll pass the MOT .. again a fiddly b'stard of a job, especially the fronts ...
Then went to Topcats and helped him swing a sledgehammer to break some concrete paving up for his new garage base. I call it heavy physiotherapy for me knee! Good Tea and Coffee from his missus too ...

Changed oil and filters. Had a little sleuth over some leaks - water leak is coming from pump casting weep hole, Q&H pump ordered. Oil leak looks like joint between turbo and oil return - bolts weren't nipped, tightened, will see if that helps matters.

Changed rocker cover gasket, to stop leaving so many spots on the road. Found a loose HT lead, and made it fit better.. Cleaned the outside of the engine a bit.. Got more welding to do ASAP... And prop UJ's to change.

Fitted new injector loom and gasket, cleaned out the oil on the ecu side, waxoyled the engine bay and every plug got cleaned an dielectric grease blasted through. A good day spent under the bonnet.

Took the front end of the Disco to inspect behind it and look at winch mounting.
Played with the fuel lines replacing one that was leaking, hoping I should get a few more MPG now its stopped leaking like a sieve.
Tried a 750-16 on in standard form before my 2" lift kit turns up.

Is the leak on the diff around the pinion (behind where the propshaft connects to the flange)?
