Got the FNS brake disc changed and found a good wheel bearing and stub axle for once on this piece of cr#p 90. Both the rears were seized solid with the bearings on the point of collapse.

Fitted new braided flexible brake hoses so it will be fun to see if it holds pressure when I bleed the system.

Still love it though.:crazy_driver:

stripped, wire brushed and red-oxided my replacement axle for the Series :)

Then decided to stick the roof bar on it and roof lights... mainly to clear a bit of space in the shed and because i felt guilty for neglecting the Series for so long.

Then fixed another two spots I had kicking around which had broken plastic casings (I found them abandoned on a green lane once) - probably to be additional rear spot lights at some point for the Disco or Series.

Oh and ordered lots of new brake bits for the axle!

Anyone know of cheep break down cover for a 23 year old 90. Cant seem to find one that insures that old, and when I do they seem expensive lol

doesn't your insurance include it?

If not, just get one of the policies which covers you as a person and not a specific vehicle.

Changed the window wiper park switch and stock....now have wipers at different speeds and park were their suppose to!:D.....gonna miss playing the time game to see were they,d stop.

Fitted new indicator stock/main bean light switch, only to find out that the wiper stock didn,t fit as the main plate was slighty different.....que some drilling and filling.

Attempted to remove the original ignition switch and steering lock with a punch and chissel....no cigar......so drilled the stubborn sheer nuts out.......then fitted new ignition/ steering lock only to find there not as tight a fit..:(

retired to house for stella and will rebuild and clean the dashboard the morrow.

Going that well huh Mark? Just shout if you need a hand

Bit more progress today, mate.

Think I've found a way to get the new oil cooler pipe, we spoke about, to line up without taking it off AGAIN. (thank feck) Gonna route the one with the 45 degree connection from a lower point which will see it come up at a 45 degree angle therefore creating the 90 degree approach angle I need. ;)

Came across a few more stumbling blocks today but nothing a few phone calls on Monday morning won't sort out.

Pics to be added when it's all done.

found out that 24 spline halshafts don't fit 10 spline axle case after swapping diff. had to swap it it all back...
