........nothing cos me bearing kit aint turned up yet

Final wheel bearing done and most of the way through fitting new swivel pins and bearings ... all done in pouring rain ... not nice!

fitted new spot lights and painted up my wheels ready for the new rubber

second was also white primer then i ran out so had to use red oxide


then 2 coats of black


just gotta wait for the tyres now whichj were meant to be here last thursday

Oh no! quick... send them back and claim they were broken! Or the wrong colour

Got round to dismantling and cleaning the winch gearbox and cleaning and repairing the motor end plate .. Only a chemical metal repair, but it's better than flying a new one in from the states .. and when it's all bolted up it's only a bearing support for the front of the motor.

OK, it also keeps the length of the winch correct, but who's quibbling?

It's all still a bit rough for the now, but I can't afford new solenoids, at least one doesn't work out of the pack that came with it and the spares I got are U/S. I also don't have, and can't afford a control box, so unlikely to be ready for Wales on the 20th ...v

If I get a solenoid or solenoid pack I can wire up some switch, I guess, to work it no sweat ... and I have a few bits going on ebay soon, not landy bits though ..

Finished off the swivel pins and swivel bearings after bad light stopped play yesterday ... no more steering shake and steering is beautiful ... for a Land Rover

just FYI bush cables are illegal unless factory fitted so Ive herd

New brakes shoes all round
3 new wheel cylinders (1 leaking, 1 seized, 1 snapped bleed nipple)
1 new hub seal
Removed swivel shim to get rid of play
1 pair wheelbearings
Diff input oil seal
Front transferbox oil seal
Cut steering damper bracket off
Welded chassis
Fixed invertor
Welded drivers door
New window lock
Replaced bumper bolts and fitted military recovery brackets.....

Can't remember what else, tis all a bit of a blur.....If the bastid breaks down on me before the mot I'm just gonna torch it and walk away

Mine's still at the mechanics getting flanges, gaskets and seals sorted. She now has rock sliders I can't wait to test I haven't seen her for almost a week, hope to go and pick her up tomorrow afternoon. Will post pictures (if your interested to see the rocksliders, Mirco the mechanic made them himself)

Fitted new steering wheel

not mine but today i've done a service on the tidiest 90 i,ve ever seen, heated leather exmoor trim seats, shiny as a mirror serious landy jealousy there and changed an alternator on a disco 3 and got another one to do tomorrow . .

Got her mot'd n bin laning to make sure everything work as it should before Wales on Friday

Abandoned it at some dodgy back street garage. Where the owner was busy mullering fook out of a disco's front axle.. in a vain attempt to get the swivel pin out of it's housing

Finally got 6 months tax for the V8. Went to start the beast, no go, starter motor screwed. Ordered new, have to wait for delivery now....
