I wasn't painting all of it, most of the original paint and under body schutz stuff was still there, I just knocked off any rust, brushed it up and painted over it.....

I got my gearbox mount straightened by a very nice man with an oxy acet burner.
Took some doing after cutting it , straightening it and welding it back together again but it's going back on tomorrow

I know us scots have short arms and deep pockets but that's taking the ****

Passanger side front footwell all welded up and given a coat of Karust.

Radiator and intercooler put back in place but not fully plumbed in.


Next jobs are to finish fitting the rad and intercooler, and apply Stikaflex to seal my rocksliders to the sills, and to hold my rear 3/4 panels in place as they have started to get big cracks were they join the monocoque.

That will just leave ECU and wiring loom to waterproof. Interior to paint and re-assemble. Painting the roof above the windscreen, and refitting the windscreen.


Hopefully, it should then be back on the road, fingers crossed.

Struggled to start it, opened bonnet remembered torch was in other car, wiggled starter motor(i think, it was dark), started it!!!!Drove through Tissington ford and around the peaks for a bit.

bugger all to mine, tis parked down the other end of the street, that remind me, she on double yellas so I better go shift it...

Checked the oil and coolant levels

Drove it (started no probs)

Parked it next to a wheelie bin and emptied some crap out of it

Why? at the end of the day (hopefully Tuesday) it will be something simple that's wrong with it, then I can start and enjoy it again.... *fingers crossed*
