I thought the wiring was gonna be really bad on my rebuild and i dreaded the day when i had to sort it.

In the end it was actually very logical and mostly a game of elimination and referring to the wiring diagram every so often.

The most useful tool for me was a 12v light bulb screwdriver thingy with a crocodile clip as earth that is a remnant of my grandfathers tools from the 60's. As simple as that tool is, you'll be able to test all the switches, light,indicators etc etc with it.

The time it took was a long time, just plodded on methodically through it all.
 
Stripped a bit more today. Ordered/requested prices for some parts.

Ooh you re-furbed that bulkhead quickly .. and even changed the vents to no vents .. good work .. :)
 
Changed the injector seals discovered that the cam shaft seal is goosed and bodged the expansion tank return pipe with fuel line to make do for testing it cracked up first time
 
Parts arriving but in the wrong order.
Dash items do not look like the photos sent to new supplier.
Don't think he want the business :mad:

Paint a few items black ready for fitting.
 
took it for its MOT it failed on a very slight pin prick of a hole (3 btw)by the brake servo
a very nice piece of welding later and a pass im fooking chuffed as she is 29 years old
