picked up my fifth wheel.
had bend in rear bumper straightened.

now I have a spare steel wheel . if anyone wants it come and grab it .
I also have a steel wheel "cover" ... maybe going up on a well known auction site as it doesnt fit on my alloy spare :S

Collected the trailer from work put a shed on the trailer dragged it back to my mates unloaded and then took the trailer back. Really need to get all the leaks sorted soon. Just need to get all the oils cleaned off so I can find what's leaking from where

Hard wired the 4way cigar lighter extension in.
Sprayed the seat frames for Tufftee after having had them shot blasted and primed.
Did a bit more on the projects for alternative window ECU, alternative heater resistor network and for using the air con fans for cooling.

Not exactly today, but I've been over to Wales to finish that Dinitrol job on my friend's new machine I started last weekend.
Here it is jacked up in anticipation:

So now the inside of the chassis is coated with thin and runny stuff, and the outside with thick and sticky.
Here's his and mine together in his driveway:

Went out for a drive on Sunday and went here:

And here:

Not pictures of Land Rovers, but I liked the views.

Today I sprayed my alloys matt black with some plasti-dip cheaper alternative. I'm actually quite impressed with the result. Fingers crossed it's reasonably durable...

Discovered that the engine in my S3 isn't from a defender but from a 90.

Who knew there was a difference?

That's ritorical btw. :eek::p

Ooooh, I like

I'm bloody impressed so far. I actually used the rust-oleum equivalent from halfords. £9.99 a can and I used 2 cans for 6 coats on all 5 wheels.

Just need to see how they do in the wet and how long for. But for £20.00 and 15 minutes labour, well worth a punt. If I don't like, peel off. Easy.

The beach is Rhossili Bay in South Wales. I'm on a headland called Burry Holms looking toward another headland called Worm's Head. The countryside picture is at a place called Sugar loaf between Llandovery and Bulith Wells.
I thought I recognised the beach, spent many a happy hour down there during my mis-spent yoof. That would be the Hillend caravan site halfway along the beach.
There's no access to the Worm's Head these days, it's a seabird reserve now.

Didn't realise Worms was closed off to tourists. I parked at Hillend and wondered which headland to stroll over to. Looks like I picked the right one!

Removed side and wing top plastic vents, cut out plastic middle and replaced with aluminium mesh, job done in half an hour.
Looks better me thinks
