Broke down at 6.20 this morning, lift pump has given up :(
Had to leave the Disco at work and get the wife to pick me up, she was not impressed.

fitted better door seals from a nissan almera tino. surprisingly though the longer ones are still too short for the front doors. where did anyone else get their new door seals from?

Made the mistake of trying to put a Britpart clutch master cylinder on.
The old nuts seem to be the correct size but the thread is too tight.
Tried imperial and metric nuts all got jammed within a few mil from the end.
Had to re thread it so I can drive tomorrow.

Got the lift pump fitted today, still wouldn't start.

Pulled the sedimentor bowl off to find it full of gunk, cleaned out, refitted.

I'm getting fuel to the injection pump and out the return line but still it would not start, I have no fuel getting to the injectors no matter how much I try to bleed it.

Stop solenoid plunger removed and still no joy, so tomorrow I pick up a second hand injection pump, as I don't have the fitting kit it's a long weekend ahead I think.

Have you checked the pipe is clear between sedimentor and lift pump sounds like it could be blocked ;)

The pipes are clear, I've blown them through with an air line.
I have fuel to the injection pump and out of the return from the pump, but nothing at the injectors even with the solenoid plunger removed, so the only thing left is the injection pump it's self.

I picked up another working pump today and later I'm picking up the pump changing tools, so should have it running again tomorrow.

Just a thought not sure what engine yours is but is there a filter in the injection pump could be blocked :)

Sorry, it's a 300tdi Disco.

I know there's a small filter in the return banjo, but as I'm getting a good flow of fuel coming from the return pipe I can't see this being the problem.

RAC have just been on the phone, only to say they're still trying to get someone out to me.

What's the plan for this one Arron.

Not sure yet bud, We'll see when it comes to bits. Nothing drastic I don't think.
just a quick chassis swap and general tidy up while it's easy to do.
It's for my brothers 90 just I'll be doing the work.
Not sure how I'll do it yet what with working in London looming and mine still in the garage.
Can't wait to start though :)
