is the mechanism broken, coz its worth keeping the actuators if yu can.

The actuators are fine. I've modified them as per the link in my sig. The power valve on No 4 and No 5 cylinders aren't connected to the control linkage. I had a spare plenum minus the actuators kicking about so it's not the end of the world, it drives much better :) I'm thinking I might have a go at making an improved linkage if I can get the thing apart without destroying it ?

Driven it loads. Bought some ring microline foglights for it. Filled the tank, getting 33mpg per tankful, from TD4 auto, I'm happy. It's got a Bluespark automotive plug-in box that makes it so much livelier than standard, loads more torque and 10% better fuel, just like the guys there say

Fitted a complete new tail gate regulator assembly and removed the propshafts and vcu unit to take to Austen at bell engineering to test. Also got to look into fitting a new gaitor on the front joint by the ird.

Done the rear speakers today,so now the stereo system is finished. Now I'm looking to get my CB in and working. Also I now have two explorer maps and I have a Landrover!!!!!,hummmmmm, what to do!!!!!??:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

well after fixing my exhaust yesterday i had to refit the mounting bracket but it was that fooked i went to Halfords and bought a universal one fitted round the pipe and bent to shape and fixed to the mount rubber with a nut and bolt... there's less movement now than there was before and no knocking so all good

Washed the bird crap off then spent the next 2 hours polishing paint work went in for a cuppa only to come out 10 mins later to find that all my hard work was a waste of time as the bird crap has returned. So next purchase in the car cleaning department will be a air rifle.

Finally finished the oil change. Who ever designed the undertray needs shooting. Such a stupid design. Still, I borrowed Ian jones's idea, drilled the rivers and used cable ties on the two sides. Works a treat.
All that's left to do now is fuel filter, that should be fun, rewire some wires for the drivers speaker, aerial base, change rear tyre on drivers side for tyre like the other three and get an alloy wheel refurbed.

I drilled to holes in the bumper right below the main two bolts. Makes it Easter to take off the under tray. Just make sure you use copper grease on all the bolts when replacing every time you do oil change makes it easier again.

Fitted a few things today. An RDS internal and external temperature gauge and a rear view camera. Taking the internal panels off on the landy is easy. So nice to be able to see all the fixing :)
