Fitted a new tyre to the TD4 SE, which wasn't very welcome, considering I'm selling it.
Thankfully I found an identical tyre with a different name, and was under £50 all in.:)

I need to change all four tyres on mine to get it through MOT which will probably cost more than the car is worth. Grrrr

If it's the standard 16 inch size, then National Tyres (do you have them in NI?) do a 215/65/16 (Rovelo : RHP-780P) for under £50 each. I just had one fitted today.

Interestingly the Rovelo : RHP-780P is identical to the Jinyu YH12 tyres that were already fitted all round on my SE. This was pure luck, but welcome as it keeps the same tyres on each corner for the next owner.

We don't have national tyres here but have plenty of other suppliers so can prob get them for around that figure.
Still more than the car is worth.

Got it some new handbrake cables and chucked them in the boot. I'm a little bit excited to see what it's like with a working handbrake

It's unusual for HB cables to give trouble. Normally a bad handbrake is due to corrosion, wear and/or bad adjustment of the rear shoes.

My HB will lock the rear wheels whether I'm going forward or backwards. But I strip, clean, lubricate and adjust them every year. ;)

It's nice :) I have to adjust mine regularly as it gets lots of use on the hills here. I just consider it part of the routine FL1 maintenance.

Enamel on the hubs, replaced the handbrake cables. Car now treats my use of the brakes as a certainty rather than a suggestion

Hi Nodge,
Well yours included is the fifth freelander I am seeing with these seats.
Perhaps they are oem after all, although only seen on facelifts. Might be on special vehicles or something, these are very high quality and they don't rip off in time.
There was an auction for a td4 that went for 2k or so, one single owner and the man was sure it came from factory with these. Could also be some dealer maneuver of fitting these on lower spec models? ... mistery.
Mine are not heated or at least I cannot find the plug.
They fit too nice especially on 3dr to be aftermarket.

Really. That's interesting. I've only ever seen mine, and the one pictured above.

Maybe. They're very sturdy, that's for sure. These definitely aren't standard SE seats, as those have Alcantara centre panels.

I'm doubtful of that. The facelift SE has a rear armrest as standard, however my rear seats don't. However if I feel where the arm rest should be, I can feel it's shape under the cover. This lead me to think that it's an aftermarket cover kit, and the wrong one was ordered.

That's a possibility I suppose.

I should have pulled a cover off, to see if there was an LR part number on them.

As I'm selling it, there seems little point now.

By seeing I mean I am subscribed to all freelander auctions, breaking etc. And I've seen a few come and go, latest for example: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143369541502
Microcat has too many options, can't do much without a vin. Perhaps you can PM your vin so we at least know what it came with? Mine surely did not.

Those are the same seats. However being a 3 door, it needs tipping front seats. Mine doesn't have the hole were the tipping lever pokes through. So I'm thinking my seats are definitely for a 5 door version.

I've checked the build sheet for my SE. It definitely came with Alcantara seat trim and a rear armrest.
Here's the complete build list.

Oh I see. I don't think anyone knows where those seats are coming from. Nice to have just hoping I don't need to replace any, as I will have to replace all interior.
