What have you done to your Freelander today

I will post pics as soon as I can , i should have made the post clearer, at the moment I have removed the middle part of the socket and fitted that . It looks an easy task to fit the outer part but at the moment I am not sure if I am going to because it does stick out abit and lots like it will be very easy to catch it with me only havong a 3 door

Well I won't be contributing much to this thread for a while. Broke my ankle at the weekend so no fettling or repairs to be done for a while. At least the car can't break down for a few weeks. I'll be needing to bring forward the battery replacement that will soon be required though I think.

It's doubly annoying as it's my right leg. I've got an auto so if it was the other leg I'd still be mobile.

I agree with @DCUNNINGHAM and @blodge . I'd check your strut mounts. Mine has been making the exact same noise, usually when changing steering direction quickly. I got someone to operate my steering with the engine running whilst I investigated the struts. The top of the drivers side strut would jump/rebound slightly on change of lock. The "boing" can be felt when holding the spring. When I'm mended I shall be getting round to sorting it. I might treat myself to new shocks at the same time.

This is the aux socket ,the socket is just wide enough to fit on to the back center console i used the four little lugs to fit.It had to come out because the kids and grand kids kept catching it when they got in and out of the back ,so as i said i took the middle bit out and fitted it straight in to the back part were the factory fitted one would go .The middle part of it when it was in the plastic did slant downwards a little so it had to be fitted up a little higher than i would have liked

Today I changed the brake fluid on the Freelander. Looking at the colour of the new fluid (in the Eezibleed bottle on the left) and the old fluid in the drain bottle - I think this might have been overdue!

Managed to get my spare bonnet fitted and sprayed in truck bed liner.Will hopefully dull the light off the light bar hitting the bonnet.

Thanks, still not finished waiting on a few bits from muddy mods.

And after getting the brakes working perfectly, it failed the MOT because there is no rubber on the pedal

Yes it is. The pedal has required a rubber pad for as long as I can remember, and a good condition one at thet. I remember my first car (Hillman Avenger) failed is MOT for having a worn pedal rubber way back in the mid 80s.
I have been collecting pedal rubbers for my project Avenger GT for years, so I have spares as they do wear out quite quickly.

No idea. I pay by DD so don't have a clue what the annual cost is now.

I’m the same nodge,I’m sure last time I paid in full was £200 and something,and the wife normally deals with money stuff.

Past her MOT today went straight though just a couple of advisory's
and that's with egr blanked off well chuffed
thanks to landyzone helping me keep maintained

New toys to fit this weekend thanks to muddy mods and Uk 4x4 Norfolk Cb Centre.

Well got the snorkel on and the bonnet plates on took the opportunity to wire brush and re paint the front wheel arches.

All was done today tracking and front wheel balancing
Now on my new to job sort passenger rear door won't unlock
