I believe it could be! It came from FB and from one of those humorous sites about faulty vehicles and what the mechanic found - radiators clogged up to the filler, 'treacle' coming out of oil filters, engines running but not on engine mounts...
Oh thank god its not real then

Busy Day

I replaced both front wishbones including rear bushes
Overhauled rear brakes, replacing everything and painted new drums satin black
Bled the whole braking system enough that i replaced old fluid with new
Treated the fuel tank cradle with anti rust treatment

All in time for MOT on Thursday morning:cool:

Sunday saw the finish of all oild changes and greasing, I am now trying to get rid of the smell of dirty IRD, gearbox and back axle oil that is hanging around the garden but I now have a bigger problem, I stuck my oil soaked clothes in the washing machine and the wife has gone bonkers. Every time she opens it you get a strong smell of dirty oil. Is this a basis for divorce?

Sorry mate, yes! :(

I shall have to market the smell of old gearbox oil as some sexy new aftershave, get some stars and sexy young ladies to do romantic TV ads not forgetting of course, a sophisticated name. Any ideas?

You're supposed to use detergent to wash the clothes. I've been washing oil soaked overalls for years and never once made the machine smell like old oil. Plenty of detergent and boil wash is all that's needed. ;)
