What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Squished Dinitrol RC900 into the rear tub floor supports followed by liquified sheep ...
Spread more liquid sheep over various bits under the car inc the tank and it's support brackets.
Fitted new rear shocks (replacing the Terrafima PRO ones that had snapped in less than 18 months...) and covering the associated washers with more liquified sheep.

Drove home and confused the neighbors as thier collie dog wouldn't leave the landy alone :)

Also finished fitted some relays to the lights, bypassing the stalk controls.

Treated the 90 to a good pressure washing today after yesterday afternoons green laning with the local LR club. It was their end of year drive, so very low key and non damaging as all and sundry partake. Still managed around 45 Km off tarmac, and ended up at my mates restaurant for a mega dinner.
The soil around here is very sandy, it is very aggressive on seals etc so best to get it off asap, so that was me in full waterproofs in the freezing drizzle for an hour..

Fitted an electric fuel pump.
Replaced diesel filter
Replace some pipe work
Replace relay for glow plug as corroded & not working.
Went to test start…. Flat battery.

now I do have an battery kill switch which is next on my to fit list…just need to find my battery terminal lugs(or off to electrical wholesaler)
& how easy it was to bleed the fuel filter, switch on ignition & pump primes this with no sweat or cranking involved.

The 90 has been used for work most days during the cold spell. The battery didn’t like the very cold few days we’ve had though. But then, Mrs K’s golf did the same.

Was going to fix the wiper mechanism today but it's darn frosty, and from yesterday I never have to go to work again. So the work has been postponed till Monday when the seaweed inspectors promise a huge 10C.

Used the 90 to jump-start Mrs K’s golf after the battery on it threw it’s toys out of the pram due to the cold.

Landy 1, golf nil! :D:D:cool::cool:

Fitted a kill switch to the landy. Now there is no where for the volts to go walkies when not in use.

battery charged and started motor to make sure all is well & runs. All good and working. Now to defrost the roof or get rained in when it warms up

driven the Antichrist to work (nights) all week, last shift tonight so I'm expecting drama:confused:

Landy drama that is:rolleyes:

~30 mpg @ 50mph on motorway, heater is something that I have to wear / imagine even though the factory-fitted item aparently works:(

so, heater rebuild on my joblist:cool:

Rich.

You’ll be glad to hear the weather is turning milder overnight… :)

Not actually to the landy, but on it. I have managed after over a week of faffing about on my computer to load a huge playlist to micro usb to fit in the radio. Much to my surprise it actually works. :):):)
Now how the hell is it possible to get 450 songs/tracks on something smaller than my thumb nail. I just can't understand the tech, for me it's like trying to understand the universe.

Swapped engines on sons 90. A leaky 2.5 turbo replaced with a tuned 200tdi. I’ll leave him to plumb it all in now :)

Fitted the adapter to inlet manifold so my boost gauge will finally work and then drove 50 miles to pick up some RX8 seats

Looked at how to fit new side facing lights to roof rack as broken the others in Wales in Oct.

got a list to work through as off to Pyrenees in 121 days...

Fitted new driver's side front damper/ spring and turret, usual nightmare bottom nut would not play ball, till I finally got the drill out and big chisel!
Qu. Are all the nuts a pig to screw on? found it hard to get the bushes/washers on far enough to get the nut started.
But hey-oh, it's done, passenger side on for this weekend.
