Forgot to close the sunroof when I got in late last night, chucked it down overnight - rather soggy interior this morning….

…quite pleased to see a) how much drained out anyway and b) all the electrickery still works!

Be different story when it’s all dried and starting to go crusty….

Terrible rain over the last few days, resulting in a soaking wet footwell. To top matter, the valve on one of the front tyres failed, so it was another repair this morning.

Charged the battery.
Spotted a faulty front side light… bad earth,it came in after a few miles of shaking around. Put ion head light also failed to work. Bang on the wing & all works.
Refitted the radiator cover for the winter.
Found the heater don’t blow warm, hot cable fault. Will pop the bonnet & inspect it.
All these little jobs will keep me amused for a day

Went out & fixed the heater problem(mrs is using it for next few days)
The top heater control cable for the past 20years had a spring fitted to ensure the heat control always reverted to hot with the slightest adjustment. Some how this spring has gone missing….

Continued leak in the driver side (not helped by sustained rain over the last couple of nights).

I bought a “wet vac” and sucked out, under nightfall, and to the annoyance of the neighbours, a good half bucket of water from the mats/carpet.

My order of dum dum has arrived, so I need to get to work this weekend hunting for holes.

Top of the footwell by the accelerator ;)

I am also searching for a leak…. Looked like it was coming through the bulkhead vent, problem is I thought they were welded shut when i built it:mad: oh well mastic time as well

Ok so my leak is definitely the front vents.

The “Watering can” technique worked, so that’s the job to be done on Monday morning.

Condensation levels on the front windscreen were almost tropical, so going to leave the partly window open while locked up today.

Don't have a Defender at the moment and given the OTT prices I'm unlikley to be back in the seat for some time.
Saw a 60 plate truck locally, looked nice, even had the obligatory oil leak tray catch to protect their driveway
